So, most people, who wish to see the places of interest in the USA, try to spend at least a month there travelling from state to state. And it’s a wise decision, because it’s worth it.
One of the main places people want to visit is the capital of the USA, Washington D.C. It’s a small city of mainly political importance and the White House is situated there.
Other cities worth visiting are New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Philadelphia, Boston, and many others. All the mentioned cities have a lot to offer. For example, New York is the largest city of the country and one can see many skyscrapers in this city.
Philadelphia is the city where the Declaration of Independence was signed and the main sight of the city is the Liberty Bell. Both Las Vegas and Atlantic City are world famous with its numerous casinos and entertainment facilities.
The largest and the most prestigious university of America is situated in Boston. It’s Harvard. Los Angeles is the home of Hollywood. Other than that, all tourists of the USA want to see the Niagara Falls and the Great Lakes, and also to swim in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
The United States of America is a truly great country, with special lifestyle, unique people and its own traditions. Despite the difficulties of getting a visa, I am sure that my dream will come true, and I’ll be able to visit the United States.

Millions of people have arrived there to fulfill their American dream. As for me, I love America not for her power and influence, but for beauty of its cities and wonderful nature.
The United States of America consists of 50 independent states which have a lot to offer to its visitors.
New York is the place that I mostly want to visit in the USA. It is the largest city of the country and I can see many skyscrapers in this city. I also really want to visit many famous places in the NY. For example, one of my favourite sights is Times Square.
It is a colorful square in the center of Manhattan. There are a lot of stores, hotels, Broadway theatres and other attractions in the square. Times Square is the most visited place in the world. 360,000 people come here in a day, and 131 million visit Times Square in a year.
In addition, I want to see the Empire Street Building, the Madison Square Garden, Metropolitan Opera House, Central Park and the famous Brooklyn Bridge. Of course, I must necessarily visit the Statue of Liberty, which is located on Liberty Island.

The height of the Statue of Liberty is 93 metres (from ground level to torch). Visitors can admire the view of the harbour from its crown. There is a torch in its right hand and a table in its left arm.
The White House
The White House is the official residence of the President of the USA. It is located in Washington. The building consists of 6 floors with different rooms including living space and halls for official receptions.
George Washington was the only American president who didn't live in the White House. When he was the President, the White House did not exist.
The White House was built in 1800. The famous Oval Office where the President of the USA works is located here.
Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls are located on the border between Canada and the USA. «Niagara Falls» is a common name for three waterfalls – the American Falls, the Horseshoe Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls.

The Grand Canyon is one of the deepest canyons in the world. Its depth is 1800 metres. It is located in Arizona on the territory of the national park. The length of the canyon is 446 km and its width varies from 6 to 29 km at the top and is less than 1 km at the bottom.
The Grand Canyon is a very picturesque place. Every year thousands of tourists come here. Nowadays visitors can admire the canyon from the observation point called «Grand Canyon Skywalk».
Times Square
Times Square is a square in the centre of Manhattan. It is not only the symbol of New York but the USA as well. Times Square is one of the most visited places of interest in the world. A lot of Broadway theatres are located in it. A lot of big companies also have their offices there.
Times Square is full of bright neon advertisement which makes it a very recognisable place.
The Empire State Building
The Empire State Building is a famous skyscraper in New York. This building was the tallest building in the world for a long time. It has 103 floors. There are two observation decks in the building (on floors 86 and 102).
The height of the building is 443 metres. 73 lifts serve it.

Hollywood
