Скороговорка – это фраза, построенная из труднопроизносимых слов, сочетаний звуков и слогов и предназначенная для проговаривания вслух. Скороговорки используют для развития речи детей, артистов, ведущих радио, дикторов, преподавателей и всех, кто хотел бы говорить выразительно, разборчиво и внятно. При постоянной тренировке дикция приобретает чистоту и отчетливость.

Английские скороговорки – эффективный способ подтянуть произношение, как для новичков, так и для опытных учеников. Они сложны для русскоговорящих не столько в дикции, сколько в произношении звуков, которых нет в русском языке или которые у нас читаются по-другому: [ŋ], [a:], [r], [i:], [ʤ], [ɜ:], [θ], [ɔ:], [ð], [ʊ].

Как работать со скороговорками
Если вы хотите поразить друзей идеальным произношением английских скороговорок, следуйте десяти шагам, чтобы достичь настоящего мастерства в этом деле:
- Выберите английскую скороговорку;
- Английские скороговорки для тренировки произношения ее на листке бумаги и прочитайте пять раз про себя;
- Затем пять раз прочитайте ее вслух, только шепотом;
- Прочитайте скороговорку нормальным голосом, тоже пять раз;
- Повторите это, только теперь не глядя на листок;
- Теперь проговорите отдельно каждое слово по пять раз;
- Проговорите каждую строку (если их несколько) скороговорки пять раз;
- Повторите скороговорку пять раз, делая паузы между каждым словом;
- Закройте глаза, сосредоточьтесь, и четко проговорите скороговорку в нормальном темпе. Если не получилось, повторите шаги 3-7. Если получилось, переходите к последнему шагу;
- Проверьте себя и повторите скороговорку пять раз в быстром темпе.
Английские скороговорки
Для каждого звука есть соответствующие английские скороговорки, которые помогут натренировать произношение до автоматизма. Не обращайте внимания на бессмысленность некоторых скороговорок – они составлены исключительно для тренировки речи, поэтому в содержании иногда хромают.
Звук [θ], произношение которого вызывает больше всего трудностей у русскоговорящих. Он воспроизводится сочетанием букв th. Тренеруйте его при помощи этих английских скороговорок:

Как Вам? Уверена, что у Вас все получилось! На самом деле работа над скороговорками – это огромная практика, которая приводит к ошеломительному результату.
Здесь, например, происходит работа над английскими звуками [р], [t], [k], которые существенно отличаются от русских [п], [т], [к]. Проговаривая эту скороговорку, представьте перед собой одуванчик, который Вы пытаетесь сдуть с одной попытки.
Когда Вы произносите звуки [р], [t], [k], одуванчик разлетается, а значит, Вы на правильном пути.
К слову, тот самый Питер Пайпер действительно существовал. Только фамилия была у него французская Poivre, что в переводе означает «перец».
Голландцы, которые выращивали специи, в том числе и «перцы», поставляли их в Европу, зарабатывая огромные состояния на таком ремесле. Питер захотел повторить голландский опыт, но это ему не удалось.
Хитрые голландцы добавляли в специи сок лайма, который не позволял семенам прорастать, а значит, люди не имели возможности выращивать их и поставлять в Европу.
Ну а теперь пришло время прослушать очередную скороговорку:

Скороговорки – полезная и остроумная лингвистическая игра. Дикторы телевидения и те частенько соревнуются в «скороговорении». Ну, а мы пойдем дальше и начнем «скороговорить» на английском.
Скороговорка, кстати говоря, это вовсе не шуточная фраза или стишок (хоть она и может быть таковой по содержанию). Скороговорка, как сказка – «ложь, да в ней намёк!»…
ТЕОРИЯ: К чему ломать язык?
Потешные скороговорки на английском помогают решить целый ряд вполне серьезных задач:
- Пополнение словарного запаса. Прежде чем попытаться проговорить поговорку, медленно и вдумчиво прочтите ее и переведите на русский.
- Закрепление правильного произношения английских звуков. Английские скороговорки, как и русские, помогают отрабатывать произношение конкретных звуков. Поэтому можно подобрать скороговорки точечно, специально для себя.
- Совершенствование дикции и скорости речи. Английская речь намного динамичнее русской, так что убиваем скороговорками еще одного зайца: подтягиваем четкость и скорость произношения английских фраз.
ПРАКТИКА: Читаем, запоминаем, говорим
Посвятите скороговоркам 5-7 минут в день. Это время можно выкроить утром в ванной, по дороге на работу или на обеденном перерыве (конечно так, чтобы никому не помешать, ведь «скороговорить» нужно только вслух). Итак, начнем.

! Переводить английские скороговорки – интересное занятие. Как и в русском языке, в английском смысл скороговорки вторичен. Главное – сложная звуковая компоновка. Задача усложняется еще и тем, что в скороговорках намеренно используются слова, имеющие очень похожее звучание, слова-омофоны (одинаковые по звучанию, но разные по написанию) и многозначные слова. Поди разберись, о чем речь!

! Принцип работы скороговорки становится очевидным, если вспомнить, что язык состоит большей частью из мышечной ткани. Как и любую другую мышцу, его можно тренировать.

Английский фонетический алфавит
Не будь у нас принято пользоваться фонетическим алфавитом, люди бы никогда не смогли до меня добраться. Или смогли бы, но со значительными временными затратами.
Все из-за того, что в номере моего дома фигурирует буква «н», которую в речи легко спутать с «л», «м» или, как показывает практика, с любой другой буквой в зависимости от тонкости звукового восприятия моего собеседника и качества связи.
Поэтому каждый раз, когда мне приходится диктовать адрес, разговор проходит примерно так: «Как-как?» — «15н.» — «Эм?» — «Эн! Николай!»

22 самых британских слова
В нашей школе английского по скайпу LINGVISTOV.RU мы любим и преподаем совершенно разные варианты языка, но душе моей и слуху всегда был близок британский английский (и, конечно, шотландский с его мелодией, раскатистым [r] и такими словами, как lass или wee).
Buzzfeed опубликовал список самых «По-британски звучащих слов.» Это не значит, что данные слова используются исключительно британцами. Они именно звучат по-британски. К тому же англичане применяют их так часто, что ассоциации неизбежны.
Даже внутренний голос в голове произносит эти слова с британским акцентом.

Английская транскрипция
Английская транскрипция — вещь полезная и легкая в усвоении. Перенесете эту систему в свой мозг — одной проблемой станет меньше. Когда я только начала изучать французский язык, меня немного волновало то, что во французских словарях транскрипция не дается.
Но, если франкофилы спокойно обходятся без нее, то транскрипция в английском языке — это жизненная необходимость. Фонетические правила английского языка крайне непредсказуемые и имеют много исключений.
Вот, как догадаться, что women — это совсем не [ˈwʊmən], а [ˈwɪmɪn]? Да, правила в принципе есть, но как будто и нет. Об этом вы можете прочитать в нашей статье «Английское произношение». Тут проще запомнить, чем вдаваться в подробности.
И проверять произношение каждого незнакомого слова. И именно в этом вам поможет английская транскрипция.

Скороговорки на английском языке
“Is this the thing? This is the thing” знают почти все мои студенты. Меня это просто приводит в недоумение: все до одного упорно пытаются вместо звука [z] произнести [ð].
Скороговорки на английском — помощь, главным образом, учителю для того, чтобы продемонстрировать ученику различие звуков на примере отдельного предложения, вобравшего в себя всевозможные сложности. Рекомендую английские скороговорки-сравнения, в которых вы тренируете не один звук, а несколько похожих.
Например, многострадальный [v]. Запомните, что он звучит так, как русское “в”, и сильно отличается от губного [w]. Это можно отработать на банальном “very well”. Читайте скороговорки вслух медленно и выразительно, проговаривая каждый звук, открывая рот и утрируя.
Перевод скороговорок — труд неблагодарный.
Задача — произнести, а не понять. Транскрипции тоже нет смысла писать. Поэтому для того, чтобы вам было понятно, как произносить данные скороговорки на английском, добавляю аудио. Пользуйтесь!

Британский или американский?
Если честно, то почти все студенты, которые обращаются в нашу школу точно знают, какой именно вариант английского они хотят изучать: британский или американский. Наверно, это вызвано тем, что фильмы и сериалы нам навязывают определенные стереотипы.
Те, кто выбирают британский, как правило, относятся к американскому английскому с пренебрежением, считая его жалким подобием и языком лентяев и невежд. Те, кто выбирают американский вариант, считают, что британский неестественен, старомоден и что в современном мире все «прелести» британского произношения — это забавы для филологических археологов.
Но стереотипы на то и есть стереотипы. В них есть доля правды, но в целом они неверны. И разрушить их можно только, если вы начнете разбираться и копнете глубже. Оба эти варианта английского языка, как и многие другие (не будем забывать про австралийский или новозеландский варианты, например) красивы и значимы по-своему. У каждого своя история и место в современном мире.

Английское произношение
Правильное английское произношение — это голубая мечта практически каждого изучающего английский язык вне зависимости от уровня. Это навязчивая идея, которая далеко не полностью оправдывает ту энергию и нервы, расходуемые на ее воплощение.
А самое главное — она отвлекает студентов от важного в изучении языка, то есть от необходимости научиться корректно формулировать свои мысли и улавливать речь на слух. Конечно, я не говорю о том, что в таком случае позволяется коверкать слова (например, вызывающая глубокую печаль ошибка — произношение also, almost, always и т.д. через [a]).
Произношение «а» вместо «о» — это одно, желании сразу с самого начального уровня иметь идеальный «британский/американский» акцент — это совсем другое. Следствие последнего — это стесненность, смущение и страх. Страх же — убийца желания общаться на иностранном языке и экспериментировать с помощью него. Поэтому расставьте свои приоритеты.
Начните с главного, с мяса, с теста, из которого вы будете лепить. Детали можно будет добавить и потом. Не торопитесь с языком. Его учат попой (если вы не находитесь в стране носителей).

Пение на английском
Раз пошла тема с певцами и пением на английском, навеянная нашим интервью с гениальным и забароченным Дмитрием Лобовым из группы Орион, думаю, стоит написать пару слов о моем опыте перевода одной из их песен и постановки произношения Дмитрия для записи англоязычного сингла в короткий срок. В интервью Дима изложил свою версию (до крайности субъективную) процесса моего тьюторства и наших совместных усилий записать приличный трек на английском. Для меня же этот опыт принес только позитивные эмоции, хотя, полагаю, он открыл Диме глаза на многие из моих качеств, доселе ему неизвестных. Хм, вот размышляю, после этого ли он меня начал называть фашистом или же в результате некоторых произошедших позже сценок, связанных с немецким языком и к моему глубокому несчастию зафиксированных на видео камеру…
